A lot of big names are in new places and wearing new numbers in the NHL this season, and Jordan Eberle is one of those big names.
The former Oiler was traded for Ryan Strome in the summer and he'll be rocking No. 7 with his new team, the New York Islanders.
Going to a new team is comparable to the first day at a new school in the sense that it can be nerve wracking and although you might know some of your new teammates, you don't know all of them.
Luckily for Eberle, ahead of his first season with the Islanders the on.the.bench boys taught the 27-year-old how to gain respect in the new locker room.
It's a good thing Eberle and Islanders captain John Tavares are friends and former teammates (Team Canada) because he might get a kick out of Jordan trying those things whereas other New York players might not...
In all seriousness, this is a big year for Eberle, Tavares and the Islanders, but we don't imagine it being hard for Jordan to fit in and gain respect, especially if he ends up playing on JT's line.
