The Jets kicked a quarterback out of practice for not being able to break a huddle

The New York Jets have done a lot of things over the past few months that have left fans shaking their heads in confusion and it just keeps getting worse for the organization and its fans.

Since two of the players released by the Jets were quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith, it was pretty clear that the starting quarterback position was going to be up for grabs this season.

However, it might be safe to say the running got a little slimmer on Monday after Christian Hackenberg was kicked off the practice field because he couldn’t break a huddle properly.

Since this could only happen to the Jets, and probably the Cleveland Browns, fans had some fun at the team’s expense online.

Christian Hackenberg, who was just ordered off field for incorrect huddle break, was 2nd round in 2016 draft. Dak Prescott was 4th round.

How is it even possible to NOT break a huddle correctly? Especially if people have done it hundreds (or thousands?) of times by that point?

The Jets selected Hackenberg 51st overall in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft and he was the fourth quarterback taken in the draft.

Right now it’s looking like the starting job is going to be a battle between Josh McCown and Bryce Petty.
