Who should be enshrined into the Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame for the class of 2017? If our readers know anything, it's how to properly induct the greatest television and movie athletes, contributors and veterans who do not belong in the "real world," into a very real, and prestigious grouping of robust fictional company.
The criteria for qualification is pretty simple; the athletic character must appear in a movie or television show and be purely fictitious, meaning the character has to be imaginary or having been fabricated in the real world (so films about real athletic figures are out of the question), and the character must appear on movie after the year 1970 (the FAHOF set 1970 as the year that changed the way we perceive the world a sports in film). We're sure they will move the date back eventually, but dealing with more modern day characters first is the Hall of Fame's objective.
Well, the voting has occurred, and the Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame class of 2017 is here!
