The Broncos just went from Super Bowl Champions to missing the playoffs in less than a year.
With the resurgence of the Kansas City Chiefs and the surprise season from the Oakland Raiders, the Broncos have had greater competition within the division and haven’t been the same team with Trevor Siemian under center.
Now, with their playoff lives on the line, they came out flat against the Chiefs. They were down by three scores with less than two minutes left and with the game all but over, they ran this outrageous fake with defensive lineman Dontari Poe. The 6’3”, 346 lbs defensive lineman showed off his jump shot, flicking the ball to Demetrius Harris.
As you can see in the reactions from the Broncos players, they felt it was pretty unsportsmanlike. Their season was basically over, so the last thing they want to see is a gimmick play that turns them into a joke in posts like this.
But we can’t resist writing it. It’s just so funny watching the big man play quarterback. Plus, the big man TD throw comes with the big man celebration.
