You may have been disappointed by the dunk contest, but you won’t be disappointed by this dunk.
Zion Williamson, a 16-year-old junior from Spartanburg, South Carolina, has been showing off ridiculous dunks all season long. Now, on the day of the dunk contest, someone captured one of the best yet – in slow motion.
This tomahawk from outside of the key makes Williamson look like he is genuinely flying. His length and hops combine for a perfect dunker.
With new talent like this emerging all the time, despite what this year’s contest made people think, the contest has a bright future. Between some of the potential that Derrick Jones Jr. showed and the incoming prospects, there will be plenty to cheer about down the road.
