The National Hockey League is having a pretty interesting fan vote contest during this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, where the greatest NHL teams in hockey history will be determined. Stanley Cup championship teams are eligible, and fans take to NHL.com/GreatestTeams to vote.
The list began at 96, was reduced to 50, and is currently sitting at 20 teams. The 20 will then be cut down to 10 in the final head-to-head voting.
The Edmonton Oilers’ teams from the 1980s appear to have the best odds of being on the final list, with four teams remaining in the final 20.
