Tom Wilson is one of the more bullish players in the NHL, as he’ll literally hit anyone and anything. The Capitals tough guy is coming off his second suspension of the pre-season and will make his regular season debut on Friday when the Caps clash with the New Jersey Devils.
If you’re a fan of the Caps, you’re probably excited to see a little truculence inserted back into the Capitals lineup in the form of Wilson. The Toronto native recorded 12 goals and a ridiculous 239 hits last season playing in a bottom-six role last season.
Perhaps no one is as excited as his teammate T.J. Oshie, who posted this photo shopped picture of Wilson as the kid from the Free Willy movie poster.
Wilson will skate on the Capitals third line with Brett Connolly and Lars Eller against the Devils.
