Syracuse was in desperate need of a win heading into Wednesday night’s game against No. 10 Duke. The Blue Devils took a 33-25 lead into halftime and the Orange’s shot at the NCAA March Madness Tournament was looking like it was coming to an end.

The Orange put together a much better performance in the second half in front of their home crowd, as they outscored Duke 50-42 to head into the final seconds of the game locked at 75-75. After some stellar defence from Syracuse, they picked up the loose ball and took it the other way.

That’s when this happened.

John Gillon launched the deep three in hopes of pulling off an upset victory over Duke and he ended up coming up clutch for his team. Thanks to the stunning 78-75 victory, Syracuse keeps its NCAA Tournament hopes alive for another day.
