Over the years we have seen a lot of hockey teams gather their players during the holiday season and have them take part in some sort of lip-syncing music video. However, just because the holiday season has passed, doesn’t mean teams aren’t still having fun with music videos.
The Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch were one of the original teams to produce their own music video. The team wrapped up a three-game home stand this past weekend, but they didn’t hit the road without shooting a music video first. Here’s members of the team doing their best to make a lip-syncing video to Patrick Hernandez’s 1979 hit ‘Born to Be Alive’.
It’s a good thing these guys also play hockey for a living, because their singing and dancing careers probably wouldn’t last very long. Either way, top notch singing skills or not, it looks like the guys had a blast shooting this video.
The Crunch currently sit atop the North Division with 71 points, so you can bet they’re feeling alive right about now.
