We imagine there's nothing quite like making an incredible diving catch in baseball.
Players like Kevin Pillar make it look so routine, but diving catches are the farthest thing from routine.
First of all, tracking a fly ball is difficult enough, but then you have to run and time your dive perfectly to come up with the catch.
Friday night, step one really hindered Rays outfielder Steven Souza Jr. as he terribly misjudged this fly ball and ended up diving nowhere near where the ball landed.
Souza was not even in the same area code as the baseball, but after a mistake like that, all you can do is laugh, and that's exactly what he and Kevin Kiermaier did after watching the replay.
Souza had some better vision at the plate, though, as he drove in a run in Tampa's 5-2 win against Minnesota.
