Will Ferrell has played a lot of hilarious characters over the course of his acting career, but one of the greatest roles he’s ever had has to be Ron Burgundy in Anchorman.

Released in 2004, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was a hit at the box office and remained popular for many years after its release. One of the things Ron Burgundy was known for was reading whatever someone put on his teleprompter.

On Sunday afternoon, Fox’s Dick Stockton pulled a Ron Burgundy and read the teleprompter instructions instead of the in-game graphic.

Since they had to wait to see what happened in the rest of the games to figure out what they would be discussing at halftime, whoever wrote the lines into the teleprompter probably thought they were all set and nothing could go wrong.

Instead, they got to witness an Anchorman moment live in person as Stockton read “Look on graphic for the final two bullet points”, instead of reading off what was actually on the graphic during the first half of the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars game.
