It seems like the war of words between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is never going to end.
Every time the two fire shots at the other person, everyone starts talking about who would win the fight or how they can’t wait to see it actually happen. However, there’s one thing that gets overlooked every time and Bellator MMA fighter and former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen brought it up in an interview with Fight Hub TV.
Sonnen has been known to say some crazy things in his day, but he actually makes some pretty good points in his mini rant. He really dug deep right near the very end.
“If Conor McGregor lasts 30 seconds with Floyd Mayweather it discredits boxing, and I think he will. If Conor McGregor makes it out of one round with Floyd Mayweather the entire sport of boxing is a fake, phony myth.”
While most fans just see this as a bout between two great fighters and others just want to get it over with so it's out of the way, it could actually mean a lot more to people fighting for a living in each industry.
