Unless it actually happens, we’re never going to hear the end of Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather. The two men have been going back and forth in the media and on their social media accounts since November about who would win between the two if they went toe-to-toe in a bout. UFC President Dana White tried to get the ball rolling by offering both fighters $25 million each, plus pay-per-view money. However, Mayweather found the offer pretty hysterical and turned it down almost immediately.
Sure, to any normal person, $25 million for one night of work is an easy offer to accept, but Mayweather made around $250 million for his fight against Manny Pacquiao, so you can understand why he had a good laugh when he heard White’s offer. Since we can only imagine how the fight between Mayweather and McGregor would actually go, YouTube user Adam Arnali put together a simulated version of the bout using Nintendo’s Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.
The fighters agreed to step in the ring for this simulated fight because they were offered $100 million each for the bout. If it works out the way Arnali imagined, McGregor comes out victorious in the bout. However, win or lose, Mayweather is still going to have plenty of money to his name to keep his nickname intact.
