Thursday night, the Senators picked up a huge win against the Penguins to move one point back of the Canadiens for first place in the Atlantic Division.
After the game, though, the win wasn't what most people were talking about.
Instead, the topic of conversation that dominated headlines and airwaves was Sidney Crosby's slash on Marc Methot.

After the game, Guy Boucher announced Methot would be out for quite some time due to the slash.
For the second game in a row, Crosby was the centre of attention for a questionable play, and Sens owner Eugene Melnyk sounded off on the Penguins' captain Friday on TSN 1200 Radio in Ottawa.
One of the more notable comments from Melnyk was the remark about Crosby being a whiner beyond belief.
Methot's a big loss for the Sens, especially this close to the postseason.
The 31-year-old plays nearly 20 minutes per game and he's a physical presence on the ice.
While the Sens and Pens don't face each other again this season, they could meet in the playoffs in the Eastern Conference Finals.
