Whether it’s on the ice or off of it, some hockey players just can’t stand the thought of losing. Even if it’s over a couple of old video games.
On Twitter, Nashville Predators forward Scotty Hartnell and former Preds goaltender and current broadcaster Chris Mason exchanged jabs at one another over who would win in some of N64’s most memorable games. It all started when Nashville’s NHL.com correspondent Robby Stanley expressed his not-so-exciting plans for his Friday evening.
Hartnell then replied that he would get in on the action if Stanley possessed a certain classic.
Mason decided it was his turn to get in on the fun, and proceeded to make a couple of pretty hilariously shots at his former teammate.
That escalated kind of quickly.
The two were a part of the Predators organization together from 2000-2007, so it’s likely that they already have a heated history in both Mario Kart and Goldeneye 007. It’s nice to see that even today, older generations are still giving each game a go.
Stay tuned for an update during Nashville’s training camp to see who ultimately is crowned the better gamer of the two.
