Mayor of Nashville Megan Barry decided she needed a day off from being the mayor (because who doesn’t need a day off every once in a while), and with Monday being “Preds Pride Day,” thought it would be a good idea to hand the keys over to injured forward Ryan Johansen.
Of course, Johansen is only the Honorary Mayor for the day, and Barry is still in full control of all duties, but maybe the forward can sneak in some hockey related rules? Let’s be honest, Nashville is more than ready for more hockey in their lives.
It appears his first order of business was renaming Fifth Avenue to “Predators Way” for the remainder of the month.
Even while injured, Johansen is doing his part in the city of Nashville to help both the Predators and their fans. Kudos, Johansen!
