Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were once known as one of the greatest duos in the NBA, but after KD departed for Golden State this past offseason, their relation hasn’t been the same.
Most Thunder fans felt nothing but betrayal after the man they once looked up to and idolized left the team for a rival. As expected, when KD returned to Oklahoma City this year, he returned to more boos than cheers and a lot of smack talking from the fans.
The way the crowd reacted during Durant’s return left his mother, Wanda, hurt and in disbelief. While Westbrook and Durant don’t exactly see eye-to-eye anymore after KD’s offseason decision, their parents didn’t let the decision get in the way of their friendship.
However, Durant’s brother sees things differently than his parents do, as he went off on Westbrook on Twitter on Thursday night.
Westbrook’s wife, Nina, got wind of the tweets and fired right back at Durant’s brother.
Durant’s brother never responded to Westbrook’s wife, but did tweet this out shortly after.
It seems like the feud between the two is never going to end, even if they still have some chemistry on the court.
