After making the playoffs last season, the Panthers entered this season with sky high expectations, but the first portion of the their season hasn't gone the way many envisioned.
That being said, they're still in a position to turn things around as Florida sits just four points behind Boston for third place in the Atlantic Division. Plus, Roberto Luongo is still playing at a high level.
Despite the win/loss record, Luongo's save percentage is down just .004 from last season and his goals against average is up by .006.
In the hope of changing things up, or just wanting to use a new mask, Luongo showed off his sharp looking cage which has a whole lot of gold on it.
Anyone else feel like referencing Austin Powers right now?
Seriously, though, Luongo's new mask is awesome. Hopefully it brings the Panthers a little luck in the win/loss column as they start a 5-game home-stand Tuesday night against Buffalo.
