If comedic timing is still a thing when sending out jokes online, Roberto Luongo definitely has it.
Just as everyone on Twitter starts to react to the solar eclipse happening across North America, Luongo chimed in with one of his classic self-deprecating jokes. For the Florida Panthers goalie, he had a harder time watching game footage from last season than he did looking at the Solar Eclipse.
While we had a good chuckle at that one, we’re not buying it. Luongo hasn’t had lower than a .915 sv% in the last five seasons, and while his worst year in that time was last season (.915), he is still one of the better goaltenders in the league.
He’ll be looking to bounce back this season, along with the entire Florida Panthers team. Still, even if he does struggle this year, he’ll still be racking up loads of wins on Twitter.
