When kids grow up watching football, they set out to follow in the footsteps of their favourite players who just so happen to most likely be quarterbacks, running backs, or wide receivers.

Every kid dreams of passing, catching, or running for the Super Bowl-winning touchdown, not making a game-saving tackle or interception, and that kind of dreaming is completely understandable.

That being said, while quarterbacks and wideouts usually enjoy long careers, running backs typically don't last long and break down when they enter their 30s.

All of those hits, blocks, catches, and carries eventually add up, and they do so around the age of 30, which is pretty young to be honest.  Take Reggie Bush, for example.

After recording 1,006 yards as a 28-year-old for the Lions, he hit a wall and rushed for a total of 325 yards in the next two seasons.

Now, at the age of 31, Bush is in his first season with the Bills, and in 12 games he has carried the ball 12 times for negative 3 yards, which, for those of you keeping score, isn't very good, and it could get a lot worse on Sunday.

It's been a season to forget for Bush to say the least, but everyone will remember it if he fails to rush for three yards against the Jets.

For those wondering how Bush could possibly have negative 3 yards on 12 carries, here are his game logs for this season.

We wouldn't count on Bush avoiding this record as he has just three carries in his last six games, but maybe with Rex Ryan out of the picture, he'll get a few more carries.
