One of the biggest changes in the NHL next season will be in Detroit as the Red Wings are set to play in a new arena for the first time since 1979.

With the season less than a month away, the doors to Little Caesars Arena were officially opened for business on Tuesday afternoon.

Since it was a pretty big day in Detroit for Red Wings and Pistons fans, you can bet there were some members of the Red Wings in attendance to get a special tour of their new home before it starts filling in with workers.

Henrik Zetterberg, Niklas Kronwall, Dylan Larkin and Justin Abdelkader were the players in attendance for the official opening, and they all seemed to be pretty impressed by the design inside the arena.

The team’s dressing room isn’t done just yet, but that didn’t stop the guys from snapping a picture inside their future home.

The Red Wings will play their first game at Little Caesars Arena on October 5 when they host the Minnesota Wild in their season opener.
