Baseball seems to be the most active sport in fighting against PED use, having multiple suspensions every year for players testing positive for banned substances.
One of the biggest suspensions of recent memory came down yesterday as Starling Marte, an All-Star outfielder, received an 80 game suspension for testing positive for Nandrolone. Now more than ever, players are outspoken about their disapproval of the process and some backlash came after the Marte news came out.
Jake Diekman, the Texas Rangers set up man, came out with the hottest take of the day, suggesting a significant financial punishment for PED users.
Of course, the reaction to his suggestion was a mixed one.
Jake was quickly reminded that having any opinion on the internet can create a lot of discussion.
