It's been an incredible season for QMJHL goalies as far as the highlight reels are concerned.
Back in January, not one, but two goalies scored goals in the span of a week.
Now, we've got a save of the year candidate coming out of the "Q" courtesy of Cape Breton Screaming Eagles goaltender Kevin Mandolese.
During a game against the Saint John Sea Dogs, Mandolese committed an awful turnover to Mathieu Joseph. While Joseph thought he had an easy empty net goal, Mandolese somehow recovered to make a ridiculous diving stick save.
Here's another angle of the save, just in case you wanted to be more impressed with it.
You won't find many better saves than that one, and although it's early in the year, it's probably top spot in terms of save of the year thus far.
While Cape Breton lost the game 7-0, the save was the only thing worth talking about after it was all said and done.
