No one would ever accuse Los Angles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig of holding back on a baseball field, but perhaps sometimes he should consider dialing his emotions back a few notches if it's going to get him in trouble.
Tuesday with the Dodgers in Cleveland to face the Indians, Puig belted a 1-1 offering from Trevor Bauer into the stands to give Los Angeles a 2-0 lead. As Puig made his way around the bases fans in the stands at Progressive Field began to taunt the Cuban slugger, something he did not take kindly to, responding with not one, but two middle fingers.
Puig is currently enduring another sub-par season, sporting a .234/.309/.402 slash line, which may explain why he was so quick to snap. Although it's unclear as to what the fans in Cleveland were really yelling at Puig, so perhaps someone said something that crossed the line.
Who knows. But you can definitely expect to see Puig get hit with a fine for his not so friendly hand gestures.
