Capitals fans have had a rough time in the playoffs over the years. With a team as good as the Capitals have been, there have been great expectations year after year and they have often been disappointed.
Some blame Ovechkin, but with 84 points and 43 goals in 87 playoff games, he’s definitely done his job. Unfortunately, hockey can be a very chance driven game in small samples, so here we are. Once again, the Capitals are down 2-1 in a series, this time against the Maple Leafs, fans are concerned.
How concerned? According to this poll, an overwhelming amount of fans are ‘extremely concerned’.
This is hilarious, especially because we’ve all been there before.
This segment aired not long after the Capitals lost in Game 3, so a lot of fans were feeling emotional and started hitting that panic button. We’ve honestly never seen one of these polls on TV lean so heavily toward one side.
It’s not surprising, but Capitals fans can probably chill out a little bit. 2-1 isn’t too bad and they can get back home ice advantage with a win tonight in Toronto.
Plus, according to some bookies, Washington still has better chances to win the cup than Toronto.
