Tom Brady was the ultimate team player in Super Bowl 51, leading his offensive unit to an extraordinary comeback victory against the Falcons. In fact, he was so generous with his G.O.A.T. level performance, he pretty much gave the shirt off his back, literally. Well, he didn't actually give it...it was stolen while he was off fulfilling his media obligations.
According to a police document that was made public and obtained by USA Today on Tuesday, Houston police listed the jersey's value at $500,000. The police investigation narrowed down the time of the crime to a 50-minute window, with the theft potentially having occurred between 9:25-10:15 PM.
Working alongside NFL security and other agencies, the Houston Police Department is still working to determine how the jersey was lifted from a holdall bag by Brady's locker. A task made more difficult due to the fact that there were no security cameras inside of the Patriots locker room.
