Erik Karlsson becomes a bigger story in the NHL playoffs with every game he plays.

The superstar defenceman now has 14 points in 15 games played in the playoffs, has played the most TOI of anybody and has done so on a fractured heel. This is a performance that may go down in history if the Sens can move onto the Stanley Cup Final, and they got one step closer last night.

They defeated the Penguins 5-1, quieting many of the critics who called them boring in the past week.

The #Sens after the hockey world called them boring...

Karlsson has endeared himself to fans with his high-octane offensive abilities and gutsy performance, but he’s now attracted even more because they think he mocked Sidney Crosby in a (regardless of meaning) hilarious moment.

With the way the video was presented and it being from Game 2, not Game 3 (You can tell by the jerseys), it’s tough to tell who he was mocking with his miming, but it does make sense in this sequence and in relation to Crosby. The clips that precede Erik Karlsson in that clip are not rare ones, as anyone who watches Penguins games has seen those time and time again as Crosby approaches the faceoff dot.

We sincerely hope that he was mocking Crosby, because that would be incredible. It’s just such a rec-league chirp. Everybody’s played against the rec-league team that treats every game like a Game 7, but this is an actual game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, we doubt it will deter Crosby from doing it in the future. They're just like us!

Still, the hilarious moment from Karlsson will go down in the Hockey GIF Hall of Fame.
