From August 25th to August 27th, MLB players will wear jerseys with their nicknames rather than their last names for Players Weekend.

On Wednesday, the teams and the league released what the jerseys would look like and the nicknames the players decided on.

When it comes to the Jays' nicknames, there weren't a ton of surprises, but fans were quick to point out something odd about Steve Pearce's nickname:

As you can see, fans pointed out his nickname was his last name, and the team confirmed the nickname to fans asking about it on Twitter.

Pearce, on the other hand, took to Twitter to reveal what his actual nickname will be come Players Weekend.

A lot of people were actually wondering so we thank Steve for clearing that up! (and hitting grand slams)
