Despite a coaching change that had a lot of people scratching their heads earlier this season, the Florida Panthers are only three points back of a playoff spot with a lot of hockey to go.
If they do make the playoffs, it would be just the second time in franchise history that team would be making back-to-back postseason appearances as the only other time they accomplished that was back in the 1996-97 season.
Obviously hockey fans sometimes view the Panthers as a bit of an afterthought due to a history of mediocrity, but things seem to be turning around in the sunshine state.
If that's not enough to entice fans to renew their seasons tickets for the 2017-18 season, then maybe the team's latest promotion, "30 Days of Giveaways" will.
There are some pretty incredible prizes there, and the fact that fans that renew have more than once chance to win a prize may entice them even more.
The one we would want to win is dinner with a player because who wouldn't want to have dinner with Jaromir Jagr, if we get to choose who the player is.
There was also a message from Dale Tallon encouraging fans to support the team and renew their seasons tickets or sign up for some tickets.
Clearly the Panthers are moving in the right direction on and off the ice.
