P.K. Subban guarantees a Game 3 Nashville victory

All eyes were on Nashville Predators P.K. Subban when he was interviewing teammates on Stanley Cup Media Day, all eyes were on him through the first three rounds of the playoffs, and all eyes continue to be on the defenceman down 0-2 to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Final series.

There's no doubt in anyone's mind Subban is a polarizing figure in the hockey world, and both media and fans are drawn to him when things are going well, but also when things are going poorly.

After a 4-1 loss to the Penguins in Game 2, the media was champing at the bit waiting to hear what Subban would have to say during his post-game scrum. The defenceman didn't let the media down, giving them a golden soundbite that included a Game 3 Nashville victory guarantee.

"We're going to win the next game."

On top of guaranteeing a Game 3 victory in Nashville, Subban had some comments about his dust up with Evgeni Malkin.

Subban on Malkin: "He spoke a little Russian. I played with a few Russians. I didn't like what he said."

After these comments, the pressure will be on Subban to come out of the gates firing Saturday in Nashville.
