The Toronto Maple Leafs finished up their west coast road trip on Friday night, and were home for practice on Sunday to prepare for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. Head coach Mike Babcock holds a quick media session after practice, and was surprised by the measly turnout. Only four reporters attended Toronto's practice, which is a sharp decline from the usual turnout.
Babcock took some time at the start and the end of his media session to compliment the journalists – including TSN's own Mark Masters and Kristen Shilton – for making the time to cover the rare Sunday skate.
Shoutout to Mark and Kristen for showing up to practice on Sunday... our bosses will be pleased to know they didn't play hookey.
