At the age of 45, Jaromir Jagr is still somehow playing hockey, which is insane when you think about it.
The reason he's been able to play for so long, though, probably has something to do with how hard he works and how dedicated he is to staying in shape and training.
Jagr didn't play in Calgary's season opener on Wednesday night in Edmonton, but he did get to work early on Thursday morning to ensure he misses as few games as possible so he can help his team win.
That right there is why Jagr has been able to play hockey at a high level for as long as he has.
He didn't need to go out on the ice early to test his skates, but he did because he's that dedicated to his craft and being the best player he can be for the Flames.
