In one of the weirdest outs we’ve ever seen recorded, this Division III baseball team closed out a win thanks in part to this ricocheted wild pitch.

It made for one of the most exciting plays in baseball: The dash to home plate. It’s a simple race against time, can the pitched get the tag down in time, will the player avoid the tag, will there be a collision – who knows what could happen. Well, with this play-by-play it felt more like who cares what could happen.

We’re just joking and we’re sure he did care, but it’s a funny moment that makes us appreciate how hard this job can be sometimes.

He may have just been trying to process what happens.

We have the luxury of watching it over and over to fully take in all that happens, but it can be a lot to digest in the moment. We just needed him to drop a “Boom goes the dynamite” and it could have ranked among the best play calls of all time.
