Noah Syndergaard is one of the most active social media users in MLB, and he joined a group of passionate baseball fans yesterday when he spoke out against the Wave.
Many people in baseball don’t like the Wave for two main reasons:
- It basically guarantees that the audience isn’t paying attention to the game for a short period of time
- It’s distracting to the players
We understand both of those and while we’re not part of the torch and pitchfork crowd about the Wave, we’re also not going to be the person trying to start it all game. However, Syndergaard may have swayed us in one direction with this half-joking tweet he sent out after his Mets team beat up on the Phillies.
Rough night for Phillies fans. First a 10-run loss and now you’re getting roasted by a player that didn’t even play in that game.
That doesn’t mean Syndergaard didn’t get in on the action though. He also made the Phillie Phanatic’s life a little harder when he stole his ATV in pregame warmups.
