During Thursday's Chicago Blackhawks versus Anaheim Ducks game at the Honda Center, the net's mesh behind goalie John Gibson appeared to come loose at the point where it meets the crossbar.
In today's NHL, we assume there would be some type of standard and professional fix for this type of thing. Instead, two refs skated out to the net with scotch tape and fixed the net the way we used to when ours would break during a game of street hockey.
Hockey is the greatest sport in the world, and being able to fix a hockey net with scotch tape no matter what level you're playing proves it.
