On Thursday, for the first time since rookie minicamp, Carolina Panthers' rookie Christian McCaffrey took part in practice. This meant it was the first time McCaffrey got to put in time with the older players, and get to know them on the football field. Well, he got to know starting quarterback Cam Newton pretty quickly.
On Friday, a lot of media wanted to chat with McCaffrey about how he was doing at practice, but Newton saw one small issue with how the first-round pick was going about things.
As McCaffrey was chatting with media, Newton let the youngster know veterans take questions before the rookies. The starting quarterback doesn't want to wait around the practice field while a young player like McCaffrey gets to split early.
Of course, Newton was joking around with the rookie, and from watching the clip it's already pretty clear to us these two are going to get along really well.
