Yesterday, Paul Pierce played his final game in the NBA when the LA Clippers lost to the Utah Jazz in Game 7.
Pierce hadn’t played much for the Clippers this season, but he’s been a staple on hopeful playoff teams for the past couple of years. He only played 11 minutes per game in the regular season, but Raptors fans know all too well that all he needs is one shot to drill a dagger into another team’s dreams.
He’d been doing it for years, as one of the top competitors in the NBA, but he announced earlier this year that this season would be the last.
He’s earned the respect of players around the league, and they showed that on the day of the Clippers’ elimination by saying goodbye to Pierce.
Pierce had a great NBA career, but he is also a hall of fame internet user. Him tweeting a picture of an emoji and sharing images through links to google searches are all-time greats.
