The talk of the Stanley Cup Playoffs has been the atmosphere in Nashville.
Whether it’s their catfish throwing, the speed at which they sell out games or just the noise and crowds they attract they have convinced the mainstream hockey world that they are one of the best hockey towns around. Well, the best may be yet to come.
America’s biggest country music festival, the CMA Music Festival, which usually runs with approximately 80,000 people daily.
With all of that going on, according to the Tennessean, the crowd size will only be rivaled by the Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve celebrations, which in the past have had between 150,000-280,000 people. With the CMA Music Festival reigning in most of the crowd, there will also be 18,000 at the sellout Preds game and an expected 50,000 people in the streets. Things could get pretty crazy, considering what it’s been like already.
The city leaders were quoted as saying it will be "Epic".
It’s already been pretty wild in Smashville, so we’re not sure what to expect. One thing’s for sure, it might be difficult to shoot any live TV down there without interruptions.
