With Christmas around the corner and the MLB in the midst of the offseason, teams put aside their differences on Saturday afternoon and took part in a fun activity on Twitter. It originally started as a tweet by the Philadelphia Phillies, who were just looking to get a laugh out of their fans as they tweeted out the first two lines to ‘Last Christmas’ and included a creative gif to go with the lyrics.
They probably weren’t expecting their tweet to get so much attention from other teams in the league, but they slowly started to join in by adding the next part of the song and a gif of their own. Next up, the Cleveland Indians.
You’d think it would have ended after one or two replies, but teams from around the league kept chiming in with the next set of a lyrics and another hilarious gif.
The Minnesota Twins definitely used the greatest gif out of all the teams.
