Ever since the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight was made official, celebrities, athletes, analysts, and other fighters have weighed in what they think will happen.
Obviously Floyd is the favourite due to the fact that he's undefeated, he's been boxing for his entire life essentially and McGregor has never been in a situation like the one he'll be in on August 26th.
That said, Conor is much younger, he can take a punch and he's got a ton of power in his fists.
Those things don't matter to Mike Tyson, though, because he doesn't think McGregor stands a chance against Mayweather.
Here's what Tyson had to say about the fight in an interview on Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take Podcast:
Tyson also explained why he was mad when he found out what the rules of the fight would be.
"McGregor is going to get killed boxing," Tyson said. "I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that's what it's all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy? McConor put his dumba-- in a position where he's gonna get knocked out because this guy's been doing this all his life since he was a baby. McConor can't kick and grab and stuff so he won't stand much of a chance."
Tyson brings up some great points as it won't be easy for McGregor to resist the temptation to fight like he would in the UFC, but that's what training is for.
Plus, Floyd has never faced someone like Conor before, so McGregor has that going for him.
It's understandable, though, as to why Tyson is rolling with Floyd, but it's not outrageous to pick McGregor either.
