The Detroit Tigers and the Colorado Rockies continued their three-game series at Coors Field on Tuesday night and it did not go very well for Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer or home plate umpire Mike Everitt.

During one of Fulmer’s warm-up pitches, Everitt decided to post-up behind catcher James McCann to get himself ready for the game and he probably wishes he just stepped back and watched from afar instead.

Clearly in a lot of pain after taking a pitch to the crotch, Everitt was forced to leave the game after the incident.

Everitt appeared to be just fine after the game, but you can understand why he decided to leave the game when he did.

As for Fulmer, he allowed eight hits and five earned runs over 6.1 innings and was credited with his 12th loss of the season as the Rockies came out on top 7-3.
