Metallica is one of the most iconic rock bands to ever make a splash in the music industry.
Over the years, the California crew has made several appearances at sporting events, particularly in the Southern California region.
The heavy metal band wrapped up the North American portion of their “WorldWired” tour in Edmonton on Wednesday night and had some pretty awesome Oilers-merch for sale.
With the show in Edmonton, you can bet Wayne and Janet Gretzky were on hand to take in the performance.
Avenged Sevenfold opened up for Metallica and frontman M. Shadows rocked a Team Canada Wayne Gretzky jersey on stage.
This wasn't the only time they incorporated a sports team into their merch on this tour. As the band traveled across the continent, their merchandising team put together some top notch apparel and logos that blends in with every cities sports team.
