Apparently the word of the week for NFL teams on Twitter was “forge” this past week, and the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, and Minnesota Vikings all believed they used the word first on Twitter. The three teams went back and forth complaining to one another, posting graphics, time stamps, and dictionary definitions in an attempt to prove they used the word first.
After way too many back and forth tweets with all three teams solving absolutely nothing, Merriam-Webster dictionary stepped in for the kill.
The three teams feel they copied each others Twitter wording, but the dictionary knows something they also copied each other we’re sure they would rather not discuss.
The point 110% goes to Merriam-Webster dictionary on this one, and we seriously doubt the NFL teams put together a comeback. It’s not worth it, NFL teams! Merriam-Webster are simply too good with words to put up a fight.
