Since the 2005-06 season, the Toronto Maple Leafs have made the playoffs just once, and yet, the loyalty from the fans hasn't ever wavered.
The Leafs have a legitimate shot at ending their three-year playoff drought as they sit one point back of the final wild card spot in the East entering play Monday night.
Sure, last season was a rough one, but it was a necessary one to help rebuild the franchise, and fans have to be excited about the direction the team is going.
Thanks to the incredible amount of young talent Toronto has, the future is bright, and leading the way is Auston Matthews.
At just 19-years of age, Matthews looks wise beyond his years on and off the ice.
Every now and then, though, he does let loose and have some fun, and he did so at practice on Monday as he perfectly imitated rookie Zach Hyman's goal celebration, much to the delight of another rookie, Mitch Marner.
Pretty incredible imitation, right?
Although the Leafs have lost five in a row, its good to see them in good spirits.
Even Mike Babcock was having some fun as he paid off a bet he lost to JVR.
The Leafs will try to end their losing streak Tuesday night against the Red Wings.
