The Atlanta Falcons and their fans are waiting to wake up from this terrible nightmare. Up by 18 at the half, the Super Bowl was pretty much theirs for the taking. While Patriots fans are still celebrating their team’s 5th Super Bowl, Falcons fans are still sitting around trying to figure out what exactly happened.
Following the Super Bowl LI loss, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan shared this heartbreaking message with Falcons fans via his Instagram account.
After taking a few days to digest it all and turning his focus to next year, Ryan recorded a special message for Falcons fans on Thursday, thanking them for all their support all year round.
It doesn’t get much classier than that. Ryan didn’t have to record this message, he didn’t need to say anything at all. But the city of Atlanta and all of the Falcons fans mean a lot to him and he just wanted to let them know.
