Last night, Marcus Stroman was dealing.
Throughout the game he was throwing filthy pitch after filthy pitch and the Boston Red Sox could do little other than watch the ball whiz by. That is, until Andrew Benintendi came around in the seventh inning. Benintendi ended up hitting a double and fans caught some video of him after his hit, and are speculating that he may have been throwing a little shade Stroman’s way.
Marcus Stroman noticed the clip himself and made it known that he had seen it by smashing that like button.
You can spell out what he says yourself, but we’ll help you a little bit in the middle. It looks as if he says something about a “Shimmy”, which could be a reference to Stroman’s slight celebration earlier in the game.
We doubt anything Benintendi says will have an impact on the way Stroman plays, unless it’s getting him more fired up. Stroman always plays the game loudly and that was no different last night.
