Earlier this week, the Toronto Maple Leafs organization decided to decrease their Twitter following to just one (that one being Team President and Governor Brendan Shanahan), which confused and angered Leafs fans everywhere.
If a fan was followed by the Leafs previously, they were sadly disappointed when they checked their Twitter profile on Friday.
After days of speculation, the Leafs took to Twitter on Saturday to apologize to fans for the confusion, and explain the situation.
The Leafs are now following 76 others on Twitter, which include every other NHL team, and the players and prospects in their system. So it appears their story checks out.
We're still suspicious it was someone else...
