If members of MLB grounds crew teams were given their very own MVP award, this man who works for the Kansas City Royals would surely take home the prize for his bravery.
Sunday, a swarm of bees invaded Kauffman Stadium before the Royals AL Central match-up versus the Cleveland Indians. Whoever runs Cleveland's twitter account put out a fair warning before the game, dropping a reference from Tommy Boy.
Thankfully, the Royals just so happened to have a grounds crew member who is also a professional beekeeper. After taking a walk up to the upper deck where the bees had decided to hang out, Jeff Diekmann removed the bees by attracting them with some pheromones . Oh, and he did that all without a beekeeper suit.
Not all heroes wear capes...or beekeeper suits.
