Roberto Luongo continued his ascent up the NHL all-time wins list on Monday night, making 28 saves in the Panthers 3-0 victory over the Devils to secure his 448th W, passing Terry Sawchuk to claim fifth place.

In typical Luongo fashion, the Panthers goalie took to Twitter to express his gratitude towards everyone who had congratulated him on his newest milestone, while also taking a moment to joke about how unlikely it is that he'll pass Martin Brodeur for number one on the list.

As it stands, Luongo is 103 wins behind Patrick Roy who sits in second place and an astonishing 243 wins behind Brodeur, who sits atop the goaltending mountain with 691 victories. It's worth noting that throughout Luongo's 17 completed seasons he's played on five teams that finished below .500, while Brodeur has only played on one team that finished below that mark throughout his 22 year career.

Then again, maybe that doesn't really say anything except that it was REALLY hard to lose with Brodeur in net. Brodeur might hold the all-time wins mark for now, but who knows, maybe Luongo will average 50 wins a season for the next five seasons.
