Bobby Lu is one of the more animated characters in the NHL (both figuratively and literally), but his play lately hasn’t been something to laugh at. The two-time Olympic gold-medalist has won four of his last five starts, but has given up 22 goals over that stretch for a 4.40 goals against average. His fellow Canadian backup, former Leafs goaltender James Reimer, has won two in a row and allowed only one goal in his last start.
Our BarDown cartoonist, Pengellynik, drew his take on the Panthers’ current goaltending situation, and perfectly depicted the two players.
Is it possible that James Reimer is a relative of Ned Flanders?
We’ll have to see how the team’s goaltending situation unfolds in the future.
